"Illness is the body's effort to regain its balance"
Carl Gustav Jung
Passionate about Asia, I spent years travelling across the continent, discovering the benefits of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Vietnam. Seduced by its holistic approach, treating both body and mind, I decided to dedicate myself to its study, first through the practice of Taiji Quan and Qi Gong, then, leaving behind my career as a manager in the medical industry, through studies in acupuncture.
My experience practicing acupuncture at the University of Montreal Hospital Centre (CHUM) chronic pain clinic and at the Montreal Addiction Rehabilitation Centre (CRDM) allows me to combine science and traditional medicine in my treatment approach. Fascinated by psychology and currently completing studies in mental health, I am aware of the importance of the mental aspect in the body's self-healing capacity, taking it into account in my therapeutic approach. Over the years, I have also developed an interest in women's health, from treating hormonal imbalances to providing support during pregnancy and fertility.

Since the beginning of my practice, I have been committed to making acupuncture accessible to the community by working with mental health organizations, women's shelters as well as with the Indigenous community. Currently, I am also involved with the Addiction Medicine Clinic at the CHUM under the Substance Use and Addiction Program (PUDS) in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Social Services.
At my clinic in Notre-Dame-de-Grâce, I offer a personalized and compassionate therapeutic approach for patients of all ages.

What is acupuncture?
Acupuncture, one of the five branches of Traditional Chinese Medicine, has existed for millennia and is now practiced worldwide. It is a holistic approach that considers the individual as a whole—both physically and mentally—and in interaction with their environment. It thus allows for the identification and treatment of the source of symptoms in a lasting way and has both preventative and curative effects.
According to this approach, health is based on the free flow of energy throughout the body. A blockage or imbalance can lead to pain or other health problems. During treatment, after a comprehensive assessment, specific points on the body are stimulated with fine needles to restore the flow of blocked energy, release obstructions in the muscles, and revitalize the body by improving circulation and vital functions. Other techniques such as heat (moxibustion), cupping, tuina massage, or electrical stimulation may be added to the treatment.
Acupuncture is based on traditional theories as well as current knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology. It is a valuable complement to Western medicine and is recognized by, among others, the World Health Organization, the National Institutes of Health (USA), and the National Health Service (UK) as effective and clinically proven for more than 120 health conditions. It is integrated into hospital settings in several Western countries, including the USA, Australia, and across Europe.
Acupuncture in Quebec is regulated by a professional order, the Ordre des Acupuncteurs du Québec, and is based on an exclusive practice, under the Acupuncture Act.
